I’d have to say this goes in my personal heroes logbook as the best episode I’ve seen yet (just my opinion, your mileage may vary)
The following people are officially awesome:
-
Mohinder
-
Nathan
-
Angela Petrelli
-
Ando
I also have decided that i actually like Mr. Linderman and Candace Willmer, simply for the fact that they know all this stuff that’s going on, and they can at calm and witty. Anyone who can deal with all this junk and remain relaxed enough to crack a joke occasionally, deserves a gold star in my book. Plus theres the fact that Mr. Linderman is a millionaire and does his own cooking.
I’d also like to say that Mohinder is awesome, and is crazy sneaky. However he should have shot Sylar as soon as he got the spinal fluid. If he had, he wouldn’t be nailed to his ceiling, watching his blood leak onto Peter right now. It has just now occurred to me that Peter will most likely not die in a few minutes of Sylar chopping the top of his head off. This is due to Claire’s power, which peter has but Sylar doesn’t.
The fact that Simone is actually dead this time, means that either Peter’s vision was incorrect, or by the time Peter explodes, Candace starts acting significantly different than she is now, and replaces Simone in Peter’s vision. Simone being dead also creates issues with the whole “Deveauxs have powers” theory, as the only remaining evidence of that is that Peter had a dream about Charles Deveaux while he was lying in a coma.
Ando is deserving of praise as well, for not only being a deux ex machina, but for doing so when Hiro sent him home thinking he wouldn’t help. Major, major win! The fact that the future still hasn’t changed yet has me wondering though. It’s not like Hiro hasn’t put forth effort into saving the world, he just hasn’t done all the exact necessary steps yet. Not sure what those would be though, but it’s definitely going to happen. NBC wouldn’t turn this into a post-nuke story (ack! meta-gaming! Bad zettageek bad!) One might think that because he couldn’t go back in time to save Charlie, Hiro won’t be able to save the future from the bomb using future knowledge. The theory goes something like this: If Hiro goes back in time and saves Charlie, he won’t know he needs to go back in time to save Charlie, and thus, won’t, thus causing Charlie to die. Paradox, fatal error, blue screen of death. With the knowledge from the future of the bomb, the same rules apply. That’s where the theory screws up: Hiro would have come back from the future anyway, regardless of the nuke going off in his face. He would have thought ‘Oh no! I’m in the future! {{{(>.< )}}} (o.o) \(^o^)/ Yatta! Now I’m back in my own time.’ He would have done that regardless of whether he witnesses the bomb scare or not, and would have started on his adventures anyway because of the comic book, which would of course be modified so it doesn’t show the bomb going off. I think. Does that make sense to anyone else? Anyway…
I’d also like to point out that Nathan is now officially cool. He’s been getting a lot of bad press about the whole selling out to Linderman, and the sleeping around thing, but not only does he get off the hook for the Linderman issue, but he was working with the FBI to catch the big bad mafia boss, so that earns him some brownie points. Whether or not he is still planning on working with the FBI remains to be seen, after that issue at the end of tonights episode. I wonder if Linderman was making chicken, or turkey pot pie?
Angela is also very nifty, as not only does she know about Claire, but she’s pulling off the grandmother thing really well, and you know she’s going to tell Claire everything (well almost everything, maybe not the Grandfather=suicidal thing). Claire herself also gets an honorable mention for being ninja and evading the Haitian like that. Sandra Bennet gets the opposite of an honorable mention for telling Mr. Bennet that he told her about Claire, because now he knows he told her about Claire, and he knows he knew about where Claire is going. I think I got that last bit correct.
Anyway, I think that’s everything…
hmmm…
