Finale goodness!

So lets see…

Niki is dead, making Micah one of the most traumatized kids on the planet (Molly being a close second), and ensuring that we will be seeing a bit more of Damon *groan* as Micah will probably end up living with the Dawsons, but at least he’ll get to hang out with Monica. It seems kinda sad to see Niki go, she was my second favorite character of the first few episodes, with the whole “missing time” thing, and Jessica seeming to have this whole master plan. I thought it was a nice counterpoint to the episode’s title to have Niki beat up the gang member even without her powers, especially with it being her last heroic act.

Nathan is also dead, and at such a horrible time as well. Though I bet Peter will still try to spread the word, and he will have difficulty being shot (unless it’s in the head, which will likely happen anyway). Perhaps he will convince many others to assist in spreading the word, maybe even get Claire back on the going public bandwagon (which of course would have all kinds of repercussions with the Company). Going public seems to be the thing for next volume (though the writer’s strike may change that.. hmmm…). I’d also like to note that like I said, that the cheerleader, a stereotype known for showing off, is the first to consider going public, the politician, also known for showing off, is the second.

Sylar, well, you’ve just screwed us all over. And under. And around the block a few times for good measure. It was nice to see Elle zap him, bout time someone actually hit that guy without him telekinetically blocking it. Come to think of it, now that Sylar’s back in the game, I wonder if the smart thing to do wouldn’t be to NOT go public with the powers, as there could be a reaction like with Dystopian future number one (the bomb), with the discrimination and such.

I keep going over the way things played out with Mohinder, Molly, Maya, and Sylar in my head, with the gun, the vials of blood, Maya’s power, and so on, but I can’t seem to think of a good time for Maya to actually use her power, as it affects everyone in range.

Maya’s semi-death: Okay when they killed her was something along the lines of ‘WTF!? Did the writers put her and Alejandro in just to get Sylar to Mohinder? I mean their power’s aren’t exactly top notch but come on!’ Then my brain started working again, and I remembered the cure-anything blood, as Sylar so eloquently put it. Silly Zettageek, assuming you know more than the all knowing writers! All hail the writers!

Adam’s fate: Three letters: L O L.
